Mini-steps to becoming the entrepreneur I want to be (Part 4 of 5)

The last few month in particular was a very challenging time for us entrepreneurs. We’re frantically chasing after the last tasks before the turn of the year and then it’s full speed ahead. Every task that we really want to get done. We may even realize now that we haven’t been consistent enough over the last few months. And the turn of the year and the first half of the new year after that also contributes to the panic of closing the door. The most important keyword at this time is: self-optimization!

At times, I too have found myself putting work on the back burner and devoting more time to day-to-day business, which is of course necessary. What helps against this?

Conscious self-optimization

Have you paid enough attention to yourself in the last few weeks? Have you perhaps even consciously made appointments with yourself? I can only tell you from my own experience: it helps. For example, make an appointment in the evening at 6.30 p.m. that is just for you. And ideally, you shouldn’t have scheduled anything else.

Of course, small “time-outs” are also allowed during the day. A conscious glass of water, a short walk in the fresh air – all these things help you to be more effective at the end of the day. And it is precisely our effectiveness in everyday life that ultimately benefits not only us, but also our customers. After all, they expect performance and results, and this can only be achieved with sufficient effectiveness.
