Mini steps to becoming the entrepreneur I want to be (part 5 of 5)

“And tomorrow we’ll tear the whole world down”. As an entrepreneur, you are no doubt familiar with setting yourself very ambitious goals. Perhaps you have also set yourself unrealistic-sounding resolutions. And have they come true?

Have you ever checked whether your ambitious goals have been achieved? Have your resolutions become reality? If you can answer “yes” to both questions, you are certainly part of a minority. Many of us will fail because our goals and resolutions are simply set too high.

Self-optimization, but in a different way

Try something different. Take small steps instead of big ones. Because even small changes can lead to success, to the goal, if they are implemented consistently and repeatedly. Think in manageable scales, constantly check your small progress and be happy about every success that will undoubtedly come. No matter how small at first.

Examples: A friendly smile to a supplier, a few kind words to a customer who has helped you fulfill your order, all of these can work wonders. Try it out and share your experiences with me.

(This blog was inspired by the article “Mini-steps to the new me” by Rosanna Schmit, published in the Kurier-supplement “Job und Business” on 31.12.2022).
